The beaches we recommend
Lungolago di Bracciano is perfect for those who want convenience. Five minutes from our hotel, it has bars, pedal boat rentals, and a beautiful lakeside promenade. Ideal for an aperitif at sunset after a day of sightseeing.
Vigna di Valle beach is our secret for those seeking tranquility. Less crowded, with crystal clear water and the opportunity to visit the nearby Aeronautical Museum. Two birds with one stone.
Lido di Trevignano offers the perfect balance between amenities and nature. A beach equipped with quality restaurants and a spectacular view of the medieval village reflected in the water.
Where to have lunch with a lake view
Da Righetto in Trevignano is an institution. Fresh lake fish, a family atmosphere, and a terrace that seems to float on the water. Always book ahead, especially on weekends.
Casale del Lago in Anguillara is perfect for those who want something more refined. Gourmet cuisine with local ingredients and a wine cellar that is the envy of Rome’s best restaurants.
Idroscalo here in Bracciano is our choice for after your visit. Traditional Lazio cuisine, generous portions, and fair prices. Just what you need after a day of sun and swimming.
Our practical tips
The lake is safe for swimming, but remember that it is a volcanic lake: the water stays cool even in summer. Perfect for cooling off, but bring an extra towel.
To get around the various beaches, rent an electric bike in town. A complete tour of the lake is one of the most beautiful experiences in the area, and we can give you all the tips on the best routes.
The lake is so close to our hotel that you can walk there for a last-minute aperitif. This is one of the advantages of staying in the historic center: everything is within easy reach, including relaxation.
